Question: Which type of formative and summative assessment do I like as a learner?
Answer: The formative assessment I like the best as a learner would be a good, old-fashioned test. I prefer those over the in class formative assessment because I always feel as though the teacher skipped me over during those because they assumed I understood it already. For the summative assessment, I would have to say that my favorite would be putting together posters for presentations or even presentations themselves. I know what it is like when I see a boring presentation, so, I try to liven mine up. I feel, as a learner, that it is also the easiest way to show that I know something when it comes to a summative assessment. Let's face it, students (like me), can be a little lazy. (I know. I know. Only a little?) It's unfortunate but true. Most kids are only going to do the bare minimum if they can get away with it and that is why I prefer powerpoint presentations as a learner. (I can pretty much guarantee that once I become a teacher, those types of presentations will not be okay in my classroom.)

Why am I writing this blog?
I have started to write this blog mainly because I wanted a way to track my steps to becoming a teacher and just how much fun it is.... sometimes. I will post my frustrations with the program I am in and I will also post any cool ideas I have for lessons, which at this point are few and far between but I'm getting there. Another reason I am writing this blog is because I needed a blog for my technology class, so, I figured this would count two-fold.
